Reviews

If you’d like me to review your software or book, please feel free to get in touch. Software reviews require a review copy (i.e., licensed rather than demo version) of the program plus any supporting literature such as user manuals. Reviews are normally completed within a month of receipt of the software. Online reviews are quick and easy to do, but reviews in print magazines can take longer. There’s no guarantee a magazine will accept a review unless the editor has expressly asked for it beforehand.

Software

I currently write reviews and tutorials for Macworld UK and Macformat as well as the MyMac.com web site. Software reviewed has include productivity applications, system utilities, programming environments, educational programs, and games. In the past I have also written articles for Informit, Peachpit and Applelust.com.

Astronomy Software

My reviews of astronomy software are over at the AppleLust.com web site. Reviewed titles have included Astrostack, Starry Night Pro, The Sky and Voyager. Many of my favourite programs were showcased in my book Astronomy with a Home Computer.

Books

Tech book reviews are published at AppleLust and MyMac.com and Sci-Fi book reviews are at SFCrowsnest. Book reviews will obviously require a review copy of the book!
