Harriet chose a door on the left. She went into a room full of Grown Ups being silly in a very grown up way. The women had taken off their nice comfortable clothes and squeezed into bustles and trains and layered on lipstick and face powder until they could hardly move. And then the men led the women around the room as if they were very weak and not very clever."How perfectly ridiculous" said Harriet "they spend all their lives trying to get to the silliest age, and once they get there, spend the rest of their lives trying to stay there. I see that it is very foolish it is to get locked into a wardrobe - especially such a heavy one" Just then a woman stumbled past in a pink flamingo frock, weighed down by a huge bustle.

"Susan!" exclaimed Harriet.
