See the dancer, hair sleekly plastered
And his partner, in satin gown
Just a mask of Victorian shyness
As they're waltzing up and down

Sidelong glances, ostrich feathers
Imitations of Autres moeurs
But tomorrow playing tennis
Men will see them for what they were

Economic independence
In a short skirt with their own name
And the watcher sipping coffee
Knows that they know the rules of the game... (ad lib)
