She was awakened by a shock. Harriet sat up and noticed that bright light came in at the window. She sprang from her bed and went to the door. The young woman gave a cry of amazement at the sight of the wonderful room. The cyclone had put the house down in the midst of a great hall full of the strangest people. They were dressed in colourful clothes, and some of the women had feathers attached to their dresses. Harriet heard a wondeful melody playing and saw the querest couple she had ever seen, dancing towards her. They were not big, but not very small either. In fact they were about as tall as Harriet. who was a well-grown woman of her age. The man had an odd frog-like face, and the woman a fantastic dress in pink. They draw near Harriet, they paused and whispered to each other. Then they danced up to Harriet and said; "You are welcome, most noble Sorceress, to the hotel Resplendent."
