Kyoto Cherry Blossoms at Night!

Our day in Kyoto spilled over into the evening time! That's ok, they light up some of the big cherry blossom trees here & they're still pretty!

This was a display inside one of the buildings in Kodai Temple It's celebrating the cherry blossom season! I thought these paintings were pretty I love the Japanese style of decor Another pagoda off in the distance Closer to that pagoda I love this mini Tori gate!!! It's so little! Steve and Monte enjoying some ice cream... & looking like they might beat eachother up! Yet another shot of cherry blossoms! Some ladies enjoying a picnic by the pond under the cherry blossom trees This is the most famous cherry blossom tree in Kyoto... wait, it gets better See the people crowding around it! This is the back side of the tree and a lantern This entire area is set up for picnics and festivities People sit on tarps under the blossoms and enjoy festival foods and drinks If you're not the tarp-going type, you can sit at some little tables! Our group decides the tarps look fun! Here's Leah sweeping our tarp off so we can all sit there! Monte and Tyler enjoy the tarp!
