Maybe it's another strange pair of socks? 

 Well, Sheldon is done except for the embroidery and weaving in ends.  Goin' Up needs bands, sewing up, and buttons.  I dug out Chaise and figured out where I am in the pattern.  

I was going to be a good little girl and work more on the Orange Aran.  Unfortunately, it's much, much too hot for a lap full of cabled orange wool.  I was going to work on it if we went somewhere air conditioned, but we ended up not.  

So, I bought the Diamond Fantasy Shawl pattern and started on it in the sock yarn that Caleb gave me for my birthday last year.  I started last night and am already about on row 36.  It's really pretty, but, as you can see from the two hands and knee holding it open, it will need to be blocked severely:
