M011 Course Outline

Algebraic topics essential for success in technical careers. Topics include the decimal number system, fractions, decimals and percentages, exponents and radicals, algebraic expressions, and linear equations.

  Use the decimal number system

  Perform calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percents

  Demonstrate knowledge of powers of ten

  Convert between units and prefixes

  Demonstrate basic knowledge of algebraic terms: roots and powers

  Solve algebraic equations with numerical and literal coefficients

  Solve and graph linear equations.
