6.              Are the logic and style of the article evaluated?  Does the student writer evaluate the purpose, evidence, audience, tone, language and appeal of the article?  Has the student writer assessed the author's assumptions, logical reasoning, factual information, etc?

 

 

 

7.              Has the student writer related the analysis of each element (in 6 above) to the overall meaning and intention of the article?

 

 

 

8.              Does the student writer employ varying sentence lengths?

 

 

 

9.              Does the paper contain fragments, comma splices, run-on sentences, errors in subject-verb agreement, pronoun use, punctuation, and/or spelling?  (Use your handbooks to help with this item.)

 

 

 

10.            What is the single most important revision the student writer should make?
