Happy Birthday Duncan

What do you mean this wasn't here before. I have no idea what you're talking about.

Monday 5th July

just some numbers

Well today I celebrated a birthday. Yay me. Numbers are irrelevant, but Hayley did wrap and label thirty presents for me. I'm a very spoilt boy.

It's also very nice to be home and sleeping in my own bed. I took today off work as I knew I would be too tired to work and also cos' I can't stand working on my birthday. I've now decided to have tomorrow off as well as I have this habit of drifting off every hour or so. This says to me more of the afore mentioned bed is no bad thing, and well, hey, no work.

Au revoir WWDC

I thought I should post from WWDC while I still had the chance. The conference is now all over. My final session of the day was cancelled so the end has come rather suddenly. This was the first real conference that I have been to and it was a really good one with enough relevance to justify it to the bosses and enough technology to make it interesting : )

Tomorrow I fly home and because of the dateline I don't get back to London till Sunday. I've had fun, but I'm well ready to go home. See you soon*

Thursday 1st July

Live from Cupertino

A new month today and the second to last day of what has been a really educational and more importantly fun conference. Today is the day of the annual WWDC 'Campus Bash'. This involves loading all conference delegates on to about 50 buses and sending them hurtling south toward Cupertino.

We were told there would be food and music for us to relax with at Apple's main campus. We arrived and immediately headed to the Apple corporate shop to load up on goodies. Goodies loaded, food was next on my mind. As I headed into the main courtyard towards the food, I suddenly realised what they meant by there being music at the event. Jimmy Eat World were playing on the stage at the centre of the inner sanctum : )

I have to say I'm enjoying it immensely and will continue to do so for the rest of their set, aided by beer of course. Just like a real concert.
