In a partnership between Lulu and the NBA, both offset and print-on-demand editions were created. Chapters chronicled each game, and were completed while the final games were being played out. Of course, we also had a L.A. Lakers book in simultaneous development. In fact, the editors at the NBA favored the Lakers for a win, and most of the early design concepts were purple and yellow.

Threadgroup is a design firm working within the beauty and fashion industries. I was hired to create conceptual product designs for clients including The Gap, Suzanne Somers and others. These are concept sketches that were later developed into full prototypes including formulation of the product (scents, lotions etc). I worked with the threadgroup designers to visualize initial concepts for pitches to clients and as guides for industrial designers.

Creative director for in-house e-commerce team for a national multi-channel beauty company. I was basically hired to fill in the skill set for the existing creative director, who designed the corporate branding and packaging, while I was responsible for the skinmarket.com website. My duties included strategy, design and development for e-commerce site launch carrying over 650 items with full product information and original beauty and style content. A series of vector drawings and acrylic paintings. These images have been worked up from photographs I've taken. Usually starting as an ink drawing on paper, the image is then photographed, converted to vectors, and the color fields are added. Then the image is projected and I render it by hand, introducing variations (imperfections) in colour and line, bringing them back full circle into the analog world.
