Elgin 1995

Elgin on the Moray Firth coast in NE Scotland was this years venue. There were some superb courses including gems at Lossiemouth and Spey Bay and a nice parkland course at Elgin(anyone remember the name). The holiday also saw the debut of Shuggie on a golf holiday!

While it had been a long journey to get up to Elgin, everybody was extremely impressed by the quality of the golf and the fish suppers at the local chippie! Gavin as usual excelled at coming up with excuses for crap shots - everytime he was about to play, a low flying jet landed or took off from RAF Lossiemouth. Personally it was the safety of the air crew I was concerned about!

We also saw Jimmie Hill at Lossiemouth. He was playing around with an extremely attractive women and it took a great deal of effort to restrain Davie Stewart from showering him with abuse.

Overall it was a really good holiday although the distance everybody had to travel was a bit of a problem. Shuggie obviously enjoyed himself so much that none of us have seen him since!
