Using the links at the left, go to the directions for each of the six Process Tasks. Thoroughly and carefully read the instructions and expectations. Throughout the semester, you are encouraged to request an appointment with me to discuss the ideas in the novel, any difficulties you are having, and your progress.

In the first phase of this project, you will

Task 1: prepare an annotated bibliography for four novels (Research)

• sign up for a novel/film combination

Task 2: read and respond to the novel (Novel Process)

Task 3: prepare mindmaps for three short articles on the novel adaptation process

Task 4: view the film, making notes about content and technique (Film Process)

Task 5: read two secondary sources (Research)

• expand the original annotated bibliography to include the secondary sources (Research)

Task 6: conference with the teacher to discuss progress and plans for the final essay
