ISU Presentation

Presentation Content

On the date of your presentation, be ready to share with your classmates a condensed version of the ISU essay. Using brief clips from the movie and short, focussed readings from the novel, illustrate the differences between the two versions of the story and explain what difference the differences make.

Length and depth expectations

The presentation length:

  • minimum 15 minutes; maximum 20 minutes

Depth of discussion:

  • student presents thoughtful, insightful close readings of excerpts from novel and film
  • student connects close readings to thesis (what difference the differences make)

  • Argumentation: Logic
  • Argumentation: Organization, Clarity
  • Presentation of evidence from novel and movie
  • Content Knowledge
  • Audience Awareness

Mark Calculation:

Each student will evaluate 5 classmates.

  • Teacher 50%
  • Peers 15%
  • Evaluation of Peers 35%
