New Jerusalem Times is a non-statist, ecclesiastical publication which is offered freely to the Body of Christ and interested others. There are no donations or subscription fees solicited for or accepted here. Functionally speaking, NJT is a one-man-ministry and the alter-ego of its editor, Christian Livingstone. That's me.
Implied by its title, New Jerusalem Times includes a Preterist theme. Which means that the "New Jerusalem" described in the New Testament is not some futuristic thing or a cube-shaped satellite that drops down out of the sky at the supposed end of the World.
No, the "Times" in the dimension of life through the Holy Spirit, known as New Jerusalem, are occuring now, having been made possible through the finished work of Christ Jesus, Our Lord. Citizens of New Jerusalem are not waiting for any supposedly unfulfilled prophecies. The dramatic and gruesome destruction of old Jerusalem, in 70 AD, fulfilled the events described as "The Coming of the Son of Man" in Christ's Olivet Discourse, and elsewhere.
The initial circulation of tangible copies was among family, friends, and others between 1997 and 2003. The mailing database is virtually obsolete now. But, NJT is still requested by people that don't use the Internet, including incarcerated persons, who hear about it via another publication that freely directs its readers to it. So, all such ones are mailed tangible copies, over a period of weeks or months, of any available past issues. NJT has also been available for downloading for quite some time on the Internet in PDF format via this same URL, when it was a simple file sharing template.
Even though NJT is just an infrequent newsletter, it follows a newspaper metaphor in an effort to demonstrate how that God is with us, The Body of Christ, in our activities of daily living. And NJT reinforces the idea that, in spite of real difficulties and adversity, from whatever external source, that New Jerusalem citizens will not be traumatized into becoming victims or abusers, as is so pervasive within The Body of the State.
In fact, the first short NJT issues came out in 1997, shortly after I had been invited to stand with and be a part of a small, but exciting, family ministry called the Embassy of Heaven, which was in the midst of a property-tax battle that I was willing to be jailed over, on three occasions. The State hates any competition and was understandably hostile and vicious at this small ministry, which does similar things to what the former State-monopoly does, by producing alternative, yet non-mandatory, ecclesiastical Passports, Driver License cards, Vehicle Plates, and other related documents. Maybe I'll say more about that here on the website at some point, because it was a profound example of State tyranny at all levels, which nearly led to a mini-Waco atrocity. For now, I'll just mention that the State brought a National Guard armored vehicle, a Capitol City SWAT Team, the IRS, and some other dupe agencies, yet we thee men were unarmed, except for the Word of God. Of course, the 34 acre parcel was soon sold to the highest bidder, and the State/County kept all of the proceeds, which far exceeded the so-called due taxes. The trees on the forested site were ultimately cut down and all of the buildings were burned down, too. So, after about a year and a half with the Revere family, there was nothing left for me to do there, and I announced that I would move on.
No, we don't hate the State or its minions. Idolators don't know they're idolators. They really think they're serving God as they lust for power and control over others through the agency of a State and a Secret Ballot. Some people seem to need the State, therefore the State has reason for being, and least for now.
Fictional States come and go. We don't seek to use violence to destroy one, only to see another take its place. But, for us, the State is more than obsolete, as anyone can know that it is nothing more than a monopoly on the use of force and coercion, which has caused more death and destruction to its own so-called citizens and foreigners in the 20th Century than in all warfare and other State-directed killing for the past 2000 years, combined. Or, one R. J. Rummel's Death by Government current (revised) figures for 20th Century government murder come to 262,000,000, which is more than two and a half million murders per year, on average, for an entire century. That is in addition to State-sponsored war. And the Century of Cain seems to be continuing into the 21st Century.
The Body of Christ is an alternative to the Body of the State. Through our political, moral, and financial Separation, we deny support and perceived legitimacy to the parasitic ego mass known as the State, while at the same time showing forth a better Way. This is part of how we change the World and make planet Earth a nicer place. Like Christ said, "Ye are the Salt of the Earth... Ye are the Light of the World..." Mat. 5:13 & 14
Of course, you can't be a Light to the World if you're just another part it.
So, New Jerusalem Times is not really new, it's just different in character from the Way of Cain and the Legion of the Damned. And when we need it, God helps us to remain unafraid and in peace during times of external turmoil, catastrophe, or injustice.
What more could anyone want?
