Asakusa Riverside Jazz Fes.(Tokyo) and also played in Manly Jazz Fes.
in Sydney 1985. Released selftitled casette album 1986. Got a good

#Haru aka +B(1986~1990) : One of the very 1st
band which mixed Japanese traditional music into rock music. Released
one album called "Murasaki"(means purple)(WarnerPioneer) as the image
album for the movie"Ohoku Juuhakkei"(Tohei) 1986. back to the

#EDITION DeLUXE(1990~1992) : Funk Rock
band. Last chanpion of midnight TV show"Ikaten". Released one
album"Hitsuyouna Mono"(Things You Need)(VarnMedia-Polydor)1990.

#Yol-Alk(1995~2001) : Alternative
Rock band of singer/songwriter Keiji Fujisaki. Nao joined with his
best guitarist friend Yuuichi Tamagawa(ex EDITION DeLUXE). Nao
completed his style of using multiMoog synthesizer in the loud rock
band. He also challenged main vocal part in"Seaside pyramid" in their
selftitled album released 1999. back to the

#Funk Bahia(1998~1999) : Brazilian
Music band based on the bahian style Samba-Reggae. Nao joined the
band asked by the leader Kenji Imafuku(perc.) who worked together as
backup band menbers for THE BOOM. His first challenge to mix his
style into latin groove. back to the

#Radi&Ludi(2000~ ) : Ambient Techno
Jazz unit. Inspired by HaleShiiya's multi channel projector
art, Nao, AO (Composer and one of the
top postproduction engineer in Japan),and guest player
TAKEO(drums,perc.,keyboard and pianica) started the totally new kind
of music project in Dec. 2000. In this project, the sound is
improvised to the impression of the visual, and the visual is
improvised to the impression of the sound. As long as they can
inspire each other, they don't stop!! This format is just like free
jazz, but is based on a kind of Ambient Techno music.
Nao used the credit"Noiser" for the first time. Because he use any
kind of sound, including the sound of musical instruments but not
limited to that.
In 2002, Radii&Ludi went into the field almost no other artist
reached yet. 5.1 surround gig!! Co-operated with the speaker
dealler"Ballad", they set up their own 5.1 system for more than half
year monthly in the venue"Omamori". HaleShiiya also used 3projectors,
so audience was totally surrounded by the sound and the visual.
After released some private-burned CD-Rs, They released their
official debute full album"Radii&Ludi 1" Sep.2002 from their own
label SpaceEcho. Also organized the 5.1 surround party"Space Echo
Night" with FreeMan and MushinoNe(DjNo.9 & DjU)
Dec.2002.
Radii&Ludi also got good reputations from Techno-Trance DJs and
House DJs. Joined some big outside Trance Fes., and collaborated with

#TOYONO special
session(2002~ ) : Toyono met
Nao in Funk Bahia for the first time. After that she has released 2
solo albums and now is wellkowen as a brazilian music singer in
Japan. When she came to see Radii&Ludi surround gig, they decided
to have a session to play the brazilian music in more experimental
style. Since they got a good impression from the first session, they
decided to have this session constantly. Nao also composed one song

#SoloWork : As a solo artist, Nao
has released one mini-album"Toys
Of Noise 1" Dec.2001. And Jan.2003, Nao had a remarkable
session with house DJ Toshiro. They improvised with turntables and
synthesizers for more than 3hours non-stop!!
<As a composer and an
arranger>
Of course Nao has composed and arranged lots of tunes for his reguler
bands and projects above(825Band,Haru,+B,EDITION DeLUXE). And he also
composed and arranged more songs for other projects as followed.
#Movie Sound
Tracks : For
a famouse japanese actress Azusa Nakamura's selfdirected short movie,
Nao composed and arranged all soundtracks and theme song.

#Multi Channel Surround Music for
Show Rooms and Musiums : In late 80's and early 90's, Nao composed and
arranged many tracks for multi channel surround system. Mainly for
show rooms and museums (including NTT kasumigaseki showroom,
Tokorozawa Aircraft Museum and more). back to the

#TVCM : In late 90's, Nao composed a few
good short tracks for TV commercials, including Blendy Bottle
Coffee(featuring Sandy), AUDI, Nintendo, Good Year Tire and more.

#Children's music : Nao has been the music
director for a very populer kid's singer/songwriter OsamuSakata, and arranged many songs
for his solo albums and NHK TVprograms. Nao also composed and
arranged lots of songs for populer tiger character
Shimajiroh,including the theme song for populer baby's magazine

#Other artists : With the populer band
THE
BOOM, Nao
arranged brass section of the song"Tropicalism"(The same titled
album/Sony Music) together with sax player Yoshinari Takegami. Nao
also arranged one song with Kazuhumi Miyazawa(The Leader of THE
BOOM), for the populer female singer Minako Honda.
<As a recording
engineer and a producer>
Since he has built his own private studio KAIRINDO in 1988, Nao has also
worked as a recording engineer and producer.
2003 July, he opened a new studio"Rancho
Cumbo" in
Melbourne, Australia. It is located in the unique record shop
"CumbersomeRecords" which is dedicated to all the independet / D.I.Y
artists, local and international.
Co-operating with CumbersomeRecords, he has recorded many young
independent artists in "Rancho Cumbo".
He is also helping those artists as a sound engineer of their
gigs.
His work as a recording engineer and as a producer is as

#OsamuSakata : Osamu Sakata had been a
reguler singer for 8 years in the most populer TVshow for kids in
Japan called"Okaasan To Issho"(Together with Mother/NHK). From his
last year in that TVshow, Nao has supported him as a music director,
arranger and keyboard player for more than 10years. As the leader of
"Osamu Band", with guitarist Yuji Hasegawa, he has toured more than
100places all over Japan in these 10years and still going on!!

Lee :
Through 90's, Dick Lee has been one of the most important artist in
Singapore and all over Asia . Nao has supported his concert tours and
musicals including"Nagraland" as a synthesizer programer and keyboard

Honda : Nao
supported a populer hard rock singer Yasuaki Honda together with the
drumer Ise(ex EDITION DeLUXE) for his concert tour. back to the

#THE
BOOM :
THE BOOM is wellknown for their mega hit"Shima Uta" which also became
a big hit in south america recently. They are always looking for the
new ethnic music to mix into their music, and Nao supported them when
they were deeply into Brazilian music. Nao took part in the
Album"Tropicalism" , which is one of the highest achievement of
mixing ethnic music into populer music. In the title tune, you can
hear the taste of Jazz, Rock, Reggae, Samba, Japanese Traditional
Music(especially Okinawan) and even europian cathedral choir!! Nao
also supported their concert tour all over Japan, Brazil and some big
europian music festivals, including Montroux Jazz Fes. 1997, together
with the famous british artist/keyboard player Morgan
Fisher.
<As an author of books
for musicians>
Nao has written more than 8 books for musicians in these 10years and
sold total more than 80000copies. Now following 6 titles are
available in any big book store or music store in Japan.

teacher>
Nao had been teaching in TSM(Tokyo School Of
Music)
for 10years.
TSM is one of the biggest populer music college in Tokyo. Nao was
teaching "Sound Making (incl. synthsizer programing and recording
engineering)", "arrange and compose", "keyboard technique" and "vocal
training".
He is planing to teach keyboard, synthesizers and recording
engineering in Melbourne.
