Christmas

...'cause it isn't to a palace that the Christ child comes; but to beggars and street people, hookers and bums. -Bruce Cockburn

Last Sunday we had a Christmasy meal at the Gordon's. There were folks there that I'd never seen before... very cool. People come out of the woodwork at Christmas time... it's great! We had a good time gathering around food, crafts, conversation, and song. We had two gift exchanges; one kid friendly, and one with the adults in mind (no one was seriously injured). The everydayness of it all reminds me of a favourite Rich Mullins song. The line that comes to mind is, "...You was a boy like I was once..."
