Eden

Now the LORD God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man he had formed.

We had a great time at the Gordon's again this week. I walked in and the first thing Tom said to me was, "I'm gonna put you to work." We moved a fridge from a neighbours garage up the narrow, snow filled alley and down into Tom's rental suite (actually, Lauren and Ed moved it. Tom and I just made sure that they didn't get squished).

This week our journey through Genesis had us in the garden of Eden. The kids and Tonya made a model of it with tiny plastic animals and trees, and even a token, Adam (who's wearing a flashy sport jacket and slacks).

The Saskatoon Vineyard, for the record, is meeting regularly at 4PM, on Sunday afternoons at Tom & Tonya Gordon's for worship and fellowship. We usually start with some singing and then move to some kind of bible activity or lesson. These are kid friendly or kid focused. We then break for a common meal of soup, bread, salad, dessert, coffee (yummy). There's most often a separate time for the adults to just hang out and get a bit deeper into conversation or prayer after the meal. We will be starting a monthly adults only gathering to better facilitate the needs of the visible minority (a.k.a. - the adults).
