Discussion

This is my first one hour flight in a long time! I was hoping for a two hour flight at Mag but sank out. At least I had a good landing in the normal landing field. I was a little bit high but that is much better than being low and impacting the barbed wire fence. I want to thank Chris price for giving me a ride up before my flight at mag. Because I didn't have to wait for a ride after I landed, I was able to drive to Nebo for a second flight. Also thanks to either Walter or Jason. One of those two had to give Chris a ride back up after they all landed.

At nebo, the conditions were pretty similar to those at Mag. Prior to launching, I wasn't sure if it would be soarable or not but ended up staying 2 to 3 hundred feet over launch for the whole flight. I was especially proud of my landing. The grass is high in the florida field so it is important to land near the walking strip to get back to the breakdown area (My front yard). Well, I landed right on the landing strip. It was a good flair, no stepper too. My friends from the radio club, Rich and Butch were there to witness the landing. Butch also drove the car down for me. Thanks Butch! All in all, it is great to be back into hanggliding. I do have to be careful when I fly though because the Falcon does not have the glide that my previous gliders had.
