Discussion
I now have mountain flight number two under my belt. Steve Prater from El Dorado came down to help out with the NE launch clean-up at Mt. Nebo. After that was done and people were starting to launch at the East launch, I asked him if he wanted to go to Jasper with me for what I thought would be some good ridge soaring. He jumped at the chance to get some more air time so after we gave Chris a ride back up the mountain, he drove down to my house an we headed north with both of our gliders on his truck. We were hoping that Gunther and John would be up there but we ended up flying by ourselves. I flew first so that Steve could check out the landing field. He flew second and there was not enough daylight for a third flight. It was a nice and smooth flight and I no longer consider the big field to be the primary LZ. The close field is the main one because that is the one that we can make on a regular basis.Steve posted an excellent email to the region six group and I decided to keep it in my logbook for eternity!
