This is a self photo while I was preparing to walk around the Mt. Nebo Bench Trail to prepare for the first annual Mt. Nebo Search and Rescue Campout to be held in June. I plan on having it the same weekend as the ARRL field day event (June 24 and 25). I took a lot of photos while on the hike and planned on making a nice mp3 for an audio blog but that didn't work out too well.

There is a gate which prevents driving to the campsites on the bench trail. I don't consider that a problem though because I generally don't have a lot of stuff and appreciate the fact that other people can't drive their noisy SUV's past my campsite at night.

Downed tree on Bench Trail

This is a fairly common site on the bench trail. The bike riders have to carry their bikes when they come to a place like this. This tree will probably be removed by the start of the campout but there may be another one in its place.
