The Interactive Student Notebook consists of an 8-1/2 x 11 inch spiral notebook. Students will need glue to attach handouts to the notebook. |

The right side of the notebook is the input side. Teacher notes, class notes, discussion notes, and reading notes go on this side. The left side of the notebook is the output side. This is where the students process new ideas and improve understanding by using illustrations, diagrams, flow charts, poetry, colors, matrices, cartoons, journal entries, and other activities. |

Students will number the pages of their Interactive Student Notebooks the first day of class. Page numbering is extremely important. EVEN numbered pages (0, 2, 4, 6, 8) are on the LEFT. ODD numbered pages (1, 3, 5, 7, 9) are on the RIGHT. |
