A&J Blues Cafe ( 2809 Sharer Rd. across from Waccamaw Center, 562-5837) has recently opened its doors. The food is very good and unique with prices averaging $16 for dinner excluding beverage and tax. The floor is all wood and most important so is the dance floor. The dance floor is at least as spaceous as the one at the Silver Slipper. We have been there twice since the beginning of November and each time Charles Atkins was playing. What a treat. Charles plays great rythym and blues. If you want to swing, you should dance to Charles' music.
Wilson's Bar-B-Q on Brounough just north of Tennessee has now agreed to stage cajun and zydeco bands brought to Tallahassee by TACAZA. On November 22 the Lost Ramblers from Louisiana played to a packed house. The dance floor is small and the dancers were out dancing. This band was excellent.
