Bluetooth on the Mac

------------------------------------------------------------------------
The D-Link DWB-120M USB BluetoothTM Adapter is specially designed to connect Apple computers to Bluetooth-enabled peripherals and electronic devices such as printers, PDAs, handphones, etc.
Bluetooth is an open specification for wireless communication up to 1 Mbps (1 megabit per second) over a distance up to 10 metres. This is much less than Apples Airport 802.11b wireless solution which connects up to 11 Mbps over a distance of 30 metres. However, the advantage of Bluetooth is that no fixed networks are required as devices directly connect to one another.

With the D-Link inserted into a USB port, your iBook becomes part of the Bluetooth family. Bring a Sony-Ericsson T68 or Nokia 8910 handphone in range and the Bluetooth devices automatically discover one another. You can then exchange information, download messages or upload pictures.

To enable Bluetooth on the Mac, just follow these steps.
1. Download and install the Technology Preview from http://www.apple.com/bluetooth.
2. Plug the D-Link into a USB port.
3. Launch the Bluetooth software to find Bluetooth-enabled devices.
4. Select a device and click the Pair button.
5. The device will appear on your desktop so now you can simply drag and dropfiles, etc.
Simple to install. Easy to use. This is how networking should be.

The D-Link DWB-120M USB BluetoothTM Adapter is available from the Apple Store at http://www.asia.apple.com/
Price is $85.00
