Irish (IFTA) Award for Liam

Neeson beat off stiff competition from Gabriel Byrne, Cillian Murphy and Aidan Quinn to land the Best Actor Award for his role in Kinsey at the glitzy Irish Film and Television Awards (IFTA) awards - Ireland's version of the Oscars.

Liam accepts Kinsey award via pre-taped Video

At the GLAADD ( The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) Media Awards Hollywood Show a pretaped Video was shown of Liam accepting the award for Kinsey. Pics are below.

"Kinsey," which starred Liam Neeson as the ground-breaking sex researcher Alfred Kinsey, was GLAAD's pick for best wide-release feature during the Dec. 1, 2003-Dec. 31, 2004, eligibility period. The film's director, Bill Condon, received an honorary award for achievement.

Liam attended Berlinale

Liam attended the Closing Gala, a press conference for Kinsey, and the award ceremony of the Berlinale on 19. Feb 2005.

Liam appeared at the Palm Springs Film Festival together with Laura Linney and Lynn Redgrave (8th January, 2005).

According to Calender Live, LA, Liam accepted the award with the following words:

Neeson expressed gratitude for film festivals' unique ability to foster ideas that would not normally come out of the Hollywood machine and said that of all the films he has made he is proudest of the ones that are used in classrooms as educational tools — "Schindler's List," "Michael Collins" and now "Kinsey." "It fills me with a new respect for this medium and the responsibility of storytelling," he said. "We need to keep celebrating festivals, especially this one."
