Join us at this Thursday's Mugport meeting (public invited) as we continue to explore and demonstrate many of the new features and capabilities of Pages (included in the iWork '09 software suite from Apple). Meistro presenter Paul: "Whether you're writing another boring business letter to a colleage (or more likely a letter to a boring business colleague), or letting your creative juices flow with a tome, calendar or newsletter, the Pages application module of iWork '09 will serve all your needs as much more than a word processor. It has made me forget about MS Office for years now and perhaps it'll do the same for you. Come to this month's MUGport meeting and learn how Pages can help you close the Gates on Bill and give the best Jobs to Steve!"

A landmark event in MUGport history:

It was a typography feast worthy of kings and queens.

Fortunately for us, it was instead served up January 4th at our special MUGport meeting. It was a night when MUGport warmly welcomed 3 typography design specialists -- meisters, you might call them -- Alejandro Paul, Sigur∂ur Ármannsson and Patrick Griffin, all from different corners of the world, to the Oregon coast for a unique, rich blend of professional typography content, design and information.

Paul (Argentina), Armannsson (Iceland) and Griffin (Canada) took turns presenting and sharing their specialties to a packed house at MUGport's 2-hour meeting. It is as rare as a total eclipse that MUGport is honored to host experts like these from such distant regions. MUGport would like to thank all of our guests and visitors who joined our membership for this special evening. Following the presentations that evening, our 3 special guests and MUGport president Michael Lynch left the next morning to drive down the beautiful Oregon coastline via Highway 101 on the way to San Francisco and MacWorld Expo.
