The Facts: To be honest, this poem lacks much meter, but has a wonderful rhyme. It's pattern keeps you locked in to its world of allusion. Alluding to one thing in particular. Romeo and Juliet.
The Allusions: In this poem Romeo and Juliet are changed from two innocent killers, to one evil one, and one child. Though you could almost say that this was the way it was in the actual play. Romeo was just lusting after Juliet, not noticing the truth behind who, and what she was. Hints the last line, "There is in fact more earth than sea." This shows that in the end, good will conquer evil.
