Media Communications

 

Media Productions Manual


This one-semester course teaches students to critically analyze media messages and how they are delivered. We wil formally study film and advertising techniques. Students will also learn some of the tricks-of-the-trade about web design, podcasting, and digital movie-making. Much of the course work is individual and involves regular critical viewing and writing exercises. Students will produce podcasts and short video assignments through the semester. Students will be assigned to research, write, rehearse, and produce media for the school and serve as a resource for teachers. Software to be mastered includes iWeb, iMovie, Final Cut Pro, and Garage Band

.Media Communications
This course is an introduction to media productions, with an emphasis upon production for school projects. Student projhects will require cooperation with faclty, organizations, and other students. A very tentative schedule follows:
