2006 Fall Campout Page (Cooper Lake SP)


General Information

The camp out will be held at Cooper Lake State Park just north of Sulphur Springs about 100 miles from Six Flags. This is a big anglers lake with close to a billion horseapples for endless fun.

This campout will also host the Trail Nation. They will be working to create the "Haunted Trail" for the Guides to tour Saturday Night.

This camp out is usually has nation activities (pumpkin carving, trick-or-treating, etc...). This camp out traditionally hosts a pumpkin carving/display contest. Everone will need to bring pumpkins, carving tools, and outdoor halloween decorations.

 

Things To Remember

  
  • Your Paperwork to get in to the Park!
  • A printable map to the state park.
  • Vests & Headbands
  • A couple of bundles of Fire Wood for the tribal campfire
  • Pumpkins, carving tools, and other outdoor halloween decorations for our camp display.
  • Camp friendly costumes (optional).
  • A bag of candy for trick-or-treating.
  • Groceries, pots and pans, stoves, etc, dish soap etc... for your meal team.

Special Projects

We will be building the Bonfire. Shane will bring wood. We will build it Saturday afternoon.

Meals

  • For each planned meal we will have a meal team. The team will be responsible for planning, buying groceries, cookware, cooking, and clean up.
  • If a meal is not planned as a tribe meal, bring your own grub.
  • Bring your own snacks and drinks.
  • Paper goods will be provided by tribe funds c/o the Paper Merchant (wampum bearer).
