How to get there...

To the Hotel in Lingen

We have blocked rooms in the "Hotel Am Wasserfall" for our guests. But you will have to book a room for yourself. Please do so as soon as possible, but latest until July 31st. They will also help you find accommodation somewhere nearby, should they be booked already. The address is:

By Car

It is probably easiest if you simply use one of the free map & guide services on the web, e.g. Yahoo.de or Map24.de for detailed description. In short, you will be coming up north on either the Autobahn A1 or A31. Once you get near Lingen, this map should help get you there.

A1: You want to take the exit "Münster Nord, Gronau" and follow the signs to "Lingen". When you reach Lingen, turn left onto "B70" following the sign "Nordhorn". Stay on B70 for 5 minutes and you should reach the exit "Hanekenfähr". Take that, make a left and follow the signs to the hotel.
A31: The autobahn will end in Ochtrup, where you will make a left and follow the sign "Schüttorf, Lingen". You should pass through the little town of Schüttorf and head for "Lingen". After about 15 minutes you should be close to Lingen in an area where you have a little stream to the left of you. Look out for signs to the "Hotel Am Wasserfall / Hanekenfähr" crossing that little stream to the left.

By Train

Buy a ticket to Lingen and take a taxi from the station to the hotel. The train ticket will show if and where you have to change trains. The train ride from Frankfurt will take about 4 hours.

By Air

Fly into "Münster" airport via Frankfurt. Münster has a smallish airport, but there are 3 connections a day from Frankfurt (and probably from other airports as well). Let us know when you plan to arrive and we will organize transportation to the hotel.

To the Maristenkloster (=The Chapel) in Meppen

There should be enough people in the hotel to hitch a ride with. With a car, simply go from the hotel to the B70 following the signs to "Meppen". You should be on the B70 for 20-30 Minutes and you will pass Meppen. Use the exit "Stadion" and check out the map by clicking on the button on the left. They do have a road sign "Maristenkloster", too.

To Martin's parents in Osterbrock

The hotel agreed to use their shuttle bus for transportation to Martin's parents' home on Sunday morning. They will probably leave from the Hotel in Lingen at about 11:45 am. Please let us know in advance if you want to use that service so that we can finalize our plans with them.

With a car, simply go from the hotel to the B70 following the signs to "Meppen". You should be on the B70 for 15 Minutes or so and you should encounter a traffic light. Go left here and follow the signs to "Osterbrock" right over the brigde. Cross the rail tracks and take the second left into Gartenstr., look for No. 42 and you are there.
