Rhodes Greece - Vally of the Butterflies
Rhodes Greece… In Rhodes we took a trip to
see the valley of the butterflies… They are nocturnal so they do a lot of
sleeping… Apparently they’re a moth and not a butterfly?.!?!. I
guess people wouldn’t want to go there if it were called valley of the
moths…
They looked like butterflies to me however…
The forest where they lived was perhaps the coolest part of the trip…
There were waterfalls and streams with cool bridges built out of tree branches
with cobble stone paths and stuff…
Then we took a bus ride up a tall mountain to the
acropolis… There was an ancient temple of Athena there (the god of wisdom)
and also some very old churches from medieval times… We also climbed up a
40 metre cross it was slightly scary because there was not really room inside
for two people (let alone two Matt sized people) and when someone was coming
down they had to squeeze past you…
After that we went to Elli beach to swim in the
Aegean Sea…
At dinner Bill only ate one desert… I was
quietly ashamed of him… Nat was only slightly
disappointed..
