Red squirrel on feeder





We keep a bird feeder on the edge of our deck. The variety of birds is pretty impressive and it varies considerably from season to season.

We also get mammalian critters feeding there too. Some folks complain about squirrels at their feeders, but they don't bother me at all. Maybe because our squirrels are only occasional visitors. (the critters that do bother me are the raccoons - they visit at night with three or four of them squabbling and making a ruckus)

The picture above is a red squirrel (we also have grey squirrels and chipmunks visit the feeder).
