I joked a bit about innovation yesterday (right
before getting caustic and nihilistic), but today I found true innovation. I've
oft wondered about the profitability of online porn pay-per-view. On the one
hand (a-hem) you avoid the embarrassment of going to the video store, but on the
other you have to watch the film at your computer in one sitting, which is
asking a lot. Porn films are generally boring and best watched on DVD anyway,
because you can use chapter select to skip the tawdry narrative and go right to
the money shot. But today I came across
this:
"Welcome to our pay per view
section. Feel free to browse through our extensive movie selection for free. We
are using a unique "pay-by-the-minute" pricing system. This allows you to watch
as many movies as you like for as low as 10 cents per
minute"
Of course most men may well
be hoping they bill in thirty-second
increments.
Speaking of innovation
I found a new porn site today called zarnia.com (which I have no affiliation
with, and mention only because it's cosmetically, if not philosophically
different from your average porn site) that actually manages to make porn-star
Gauge
not
look skanky. That's an
accomplishment.
