So much food, so little stomach space.

Hmmm... maybe I'm getting a little sick.

Well today was another great sunday. Pastor Stafford and his family went to the church in Narita, and gave the message over there. So today Mr.Ishihara gave the message in church. Also today for sunday school Nozomi lead the class today. She talked about siblings, and how to get along with them. Five out of the seven kids have siblings, so they were able to have a good talk. Even the two kids who didn't have siblings were able to add their own perspective on the subject. So in the end it seems like there's alot of pros and cons going both ways.
After church I went to lunch at the Imamura's place. I'm glad I still remembered were it was, since I've only been there one time before. Luckily I got there with no problem, but i did stand outside the door for a little while thinking if it was that one or not. So I rang the doorbell, and was happy that I got it right.
For lunch we had lots of food. Mrs.Imamura prepared alot of food, and also they bought pizza from pizza hut. The lunch was to celebrate Maki getting her visa. It was pretty cool because it was a visa pizza party, and those words sound really similar in japanese, so that's why we had pizza. We also had fried chicken, salad, bread, smoked salmon sashimi, this red bean rice and a whole bunch of desserts that included chocolate bon bons, cream puffs, almond treats and pineapple. Now just add that to three large pizza's, and that's what we had for lunch. It was alot of food, and everyone ate till they were really full. I think all the kids had at least three pieces of pizza each, and ate up alot of the salmon. And just when you thought that you were full, something else would be brought out, and you'd find yourself eating some of that too.
After lunch I went back home, and took a short nap. Even though I got plenty of sleep last night, I was a little tired. I usually get like that after eating a big meal, but normally I stay awake for at least a few hours after. This time however I just fell asleep, which turned out to be a bad idea. I think because I wen to bed so soon after eating all that food, I ended up waking up with a stomach ache. So that's something I gotta remember for next time. But I didn't have time to dwell on it because I had to get ready to go to dinner at 5pm.
So at 5pm I went out to dinner with the Mori's, and we went to a really yummy sushi place. It seemed like it was far away, but on the drive home it seemed really close. But yeah, it was a conveyer belt sushi restaurant, and it's mascot was a kappa. I thought it was pretty interesting, and so when I got home I did some research on the kappa. It turns out that it's a japanese mythical creature that lives in water. It used to be kind of a scary monster, but recently it's been turned into a more family oriented creature. It was said to eat people and play tricks on them also, and one way you could save yourself from being eaten was to give them cucumber. That's also where they got the name for the cucumber sushi called kappa maki, or something like that.
The place we went to was really big and busy. It seats 122 people, and it was already full when we got there at 5:30pm. Also there was a huge waiting line already, and when we got there, there was already a 30min wait time, and by 6pm, the wait time was 100min. I just thought that was ridiculous, and I can't imagine any person in Hawaii waiting for 100min to eat at a restaurant. I'm glad we got in though, because it was worth at least a 30min wait.
When we finally got in, we were seated close to the end of the line, but they have a good speakerphone ordering system, so it's easy to order. Also when you order, they send your order around with your table number in front of it, so no one else takes it. But there was plenty of sushi going around, so we only ended up special ordering once. Also almost everything was only 100yen, so you can eat alot without worrying to much about going broke.
I ate mostly my normal stuff like maguro and slamon, but also tried some new things like kalbe and pork sushi. Mr and Mrs.Mori were worried that I wasn't eating anything, but I actually ate about the same amount I usually eat, which is about 5 or 6 plates. I guess I must have just been eating when they weren't looking, because they thought I only ate like two pieces. But yeah, no worries I ate alot, and enjoyed all of it. I even ended with my favorite ungai, and that just completed a fun night. Oh yeah just in case you were wondering why we ate sushi tonight, it was for Kenji's birthday, and Mrs,Mori also said that it was for her and my birthday too, because we're only days apart. So now Kenji's 11 years old, and even though he's not too tall, he's quite mature for his age. Well except when he and Yutaro start to get into the games they play, then he's pretty much your normal 5th grader.
When I got home, I just watched the dogs for a bit until all their respective masters came by to pick them up. Then I thought about taking a nap, but since it was like 10:30pm, I decided to just head off to sleep. Although I got a little sidetracked looking for the sakura song that Priscilla and Maria played at the sakura party. I managed to find a version that had singing in it, so I bought it online. Unfortunately you can't hear the whole thing before you buy it, so I didn't know that there's some english in the end that I don't really like. I'd much rather it had all been in japanese, but oh well, it's still a pretty good version none the less.
Oh, also on the way back home from lunch I found the most tranquil looking lavatory ever. It sat next to a sakura tree, and just looked like there was an aura of peace around it. Also I think I'm getting sick. I'm pretty sure tomorrow I'll have a sore throat or something, but at least I don't have anything planned, so I just rest.
