Montera Middle School earned the most number of awards of all OUSD schools for student performance in the 2007-2008 California Standards Test. Interim Superintendent Dr. Roberta Mayor awarded Certificates of Achievement to Montera for distinction in the following categories:
Highest Overall percentage students in OUSD scored Proficient or Above in the English Language Arts section of the 2007-2008 California Standards Test.
