H1N1 Cases

78* people have died in North Carolina:

  • Brevard County (1): a 55 year old man.
  • Brunswick County (1): a pregant woman.
  • Buncombe County (1): a 60 year old man (this person actually died in Virginia, but is counted as a North Carolina death).
  • Chatham County (1)
  • Cherokee County (1)
  • Carteret County (1)
  • Guilford County (2) two people in Greensboro.
  • Hoke County (1)
  • Lenoir County (1): a 50 year old man.
  • New Hanover County (3): a 30 year old woman from Wilmington; a man in his early fifties; a 22 year old woman.
  • Pender County (1): a 16 year old girl.
  • Wake County (2): two pregnant women.
  • Wilson County (2): a 38 year old pregnant woman.

* 13 people died of H1N1 before September 26, 2009. After that date, all flu deaths are counted because little or no seasonal flu is occurring.
