Alert Levels
The color-coded alert level is not associated with any government or institution. It represents my personal estimation of risk. I'm using Orange to indicate that I think a pandemic could start at any time, but see no evidence that it has started yet. I am reserving Red to indicate when I think a pandemic may have started.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) uses a 6 phase system for alert levels. The current official WHO phase of pandemic alert is 3 - No or very limited human-to-human transmission.
The US government uses 7 federal response stages to describe the alert status. The official US stage is 0 - New Domestic Animal Outbreak in At–Risk Country.
