Affordable Baseball- North Shore Spirit

Baseball and summer go had in hand, but tickets to the Boston Red Sox can be hard to find, and extremely expensive. Getting enough tickets for a family and coughing up the cash for food and parking can be quite prohibitive for many folks. So what is an all-American baseball loving family to do?

Filling the void left by corporate and season ticket holders are AAA and independent league teams. The North Shore Spirit is such a team playing in the Canadian-American League. To date there are ten teams in the league: New Jersey, Quebec, North Shore, Nashua, Worcester, Brockton, Atlantic City, Grays, New Haven, and Sussex.

The North Shore Spirit plays its home games at Fraser Field in Lynn Massachusetts. Lynn is just short ride outside Boston following Rt 1 north to Rt 129. There is plenty of secure parking in two locations next to the field, which are clearly marked. Tickets are a true bargain ranging in price from $6 for bleacher seats to $12 for VIP seating. You will find the usual ball park bill of fare (hot dogs, hamburgers, fries, popcorn, beer, etc.) all at reasonable prices.

Fraser Field is a true "Family Friendly" park. The focus is on wholesome fun for children and their families-- there is a small kiddy park next to the vending area, children are encouraged to move to the front of the park for the best view, and the players are very cordial and accessible for autographs.

You can't beat the entertainment value: live baseball, good food, clean restrooms, activities for kids, and easy parking all for as little as $6 a ticket.
