Stonington CT was where many MAIN familes got there start.  I have yet to prove if this is where
my Main family came from. Today some of it looks like this. In the 1790s Stonington covered a much larger area.
In the early 1800s, North Stonington was split off as a separate town (read Township for midwesterners.)

The small sign on this house says "C. Breed 1760".
