Prior to the establishment of the Town of North Stonington, there was
a village of
North Stonington and there still is today. Perhaps it looks much as
it did in the
late 1700s, except now the streets are paved and there are overhead
wires.

North Stonington is also the name of a town(ship) as well as the name
of the Village.
The area appears rural and is beautifully wooded.
