A
spectacular sunrise over the dune in front of Tony and Elaine's
house |

|
The
"Betrothal Bench" at the top of the dune was put up
by Tony to identify the spot where their daughter became engaged
over 5 years ago. I good place to watch the sun rise and survey
the beach. |

|
From
the top of the dune, looking north, we can see how crowded the
beach is. |

|
A
glance to the right confirms the crowded conditions |

|
We
head north along the beach towards the house on the point in
the distance, named "Sea-to-sea" because the property
goes across the island at that point. |

|
We
are accompanied, for a short way, by a friendly dog from the
north end of the island. |

|
Returning
home we pass a bunch of baby coconuts. Bet you didn't know they
were red. |

|
The
blooms beside the back deck at the house brighten up the morning. |

|
A
short tug-of-war with Angie preceeds another walk around town. |

|
Two
students pose outside their school. |

|
A
friendly cat offers her back to pet as we pass. |

|
If
you had $500,000 you could have purchased this "fixer-upper" |

|
A
young couple enjoyes a view of the Hope Town harbor entrance. |

|
The
sign posted on Lilly Bethel's home. It tells the story |

|
Feeding
time, about 4:30 p.m. brings out all the cats. |

|
Fresh
water is always avaiable |

|
They
look well cared for, but you have to wonder if they still miss
Ms. Lilly. |

|
We
paid a visit to the Elbow Cay Reef light. The cat in the next
picture is on the porch of the pink building in front of the
lighthouse. |

|
Happily
sitting on top of a bag of cat food, this dark tiger gives us
the eye . . . |

|
.
. . but not for long. He knows what is important. |

|
Reaching
the lookout deck at the top of the tower, we see the entrance
to Hope Town harbor. |

|
This,
and following pictures, show the 360 degree view, panning to
the right. |

|
Though
hard to pick out, Tony and Elaine's house is behind, and in line
with, the pink waterfront building near the right edge of this
picture. |

|
Well
protected |

|
.
. . continuing to the right |

|
|

|
|

|
Finally,
we reach the left edge of the harbor entrance, where we started
these views. |
