I bought this truck
in 2000 with 39000 original miles on it from a dealer in Ohio. Ever
since buying my 91 Ranger new and telling them the styleside F150 bed
would look great shrunk down on a Ranger I've wanted a splash.
After getting a few things in line I found this one and set out to
learn and have fun. I've done almost all of the modifications
listed by myself and been able to maintain its functions as a truck as
well. It has been garaged every winter and only saw Wisconsin
road salt on very few occasions.

Performance
Info:
I ran a best of 15.1 on the quarter
mile. The truck can run 15.5's all day with me. Last trip out was cold
and I was unable to break under 15.7. This is down from 17.1
relatively stock. A lighter person running has consistantly taken 2
tenths off my times that same day. I have had it on Gingerman Raceway a
couple of times and it did better than I had expected. With the
light rear end it tends to lift the inside tire on corners but still
did quite well. The upgraded shocks helped it from the bouncing
and serious nose dives it was doing on the drive home.
Dyno
Results:
I've run this several times on 2
different dyno's(both dynojets). In its current configuration it
made 196 rwhp and 333ft lbs of torque. Stock rwhp is estimated at 117
depending on what math you use for parasitic loss through the a4ld and
rear end.
Overall
Condition:
Using KKB.COM's guidelines I rate this
in GOOD shape. No known major mechanical problems and only minor
paint/body issues.
Mechanical:
There is only 1 known bug that I have
not yet worked out, that is when decelerating from highway speeds, the
engine rpms start bouncing at 45mph down to 35mph and then its
fine. I believe this could be fixed by either a chip with the
proper fuel curve or by going back to 24 or the stock 19# injectors.
Interior:
I am a audio buff from way back and
started the planning of the system to put in. The rear wall covering is
out but do have all the parts for it. The arm rest was removed for
quicker access to the rear for my kids, I also have that as well.
Overall the interior is in upper fair to good shape.
Exterior:
Other than normal wear and tear there
are a couple of minor paint issues: Drivers side door has 3 chips
out of it on the trailing edge. The passenger side door was
dinged when putting a ladder away.
Condition
History:
This vehicle was in a accident prior to
my owning it. When looking under it, some parts have new stickers on
them and the rear bumper is bent since purchase. A carfax lookup
confirmed that it was in some sort of accident. Trying to track
it down led me to a dead end. Since owning it I have had 2 minor
accidents, 1 with a deer and 1 with another vehicle resulting in the
front grill and headlights being replaced, along with both front
quarter panels and the drivers side door. No major damage to anything,
just paint and body.
