Did Donna Double Down? How serious is the latest bit of chicanery by the Outfoxed gals? You
make the call. With J$P Video!
Just a few days ago, we exposed a couple of major-league
whoppers from the newshounds (another fine product from the Outfoxed
mob). Donna's embarrassment should have made her a tad more cautious and
responsible, but the opposite seems to have taken place. Instead of cleaning up
her act, she comes up with this:
Shepard Smith Says "But We're Conservative And On The Republican Side" The unlikelihood that Shep Smith (of all people) would make such a statement didn't phase the kennel-dwellers who, gullible as ever, took it all as gospel:
LAURA INGRAHAM: We're beyond race in America, and if you support Obama, I think you can think that about yourself, that you've moved beyond race and that really has a negligible factor. SHEPARD SMITH: Let's get over to the Republicans now. Who are you voting for, Laura? LAURA INGRAHAM: I don't--do you think I would reveal that any more than you would, Shepard Smith? SMITH: Ha ha, probably not, but we're conservative. And on the Republican side a new national leader has emerged from the fray--this is brand new today. Rasmussen Reports daily tracking poll... Note that "we're conservative" pertained to their reluctance to state who they will vote for (conservative as in "cautious"). Also note that the "Republican side" was not part of the same sentence or thought, but an introduction to a new subject--the part that Donna snipped out when she made two sentence fragments into one. After discussing the Democratic side of the race, Smith turned the conversation to "the Republican side" and the new poll leader: Mike Huckabee. We thought we would post a comment pointing out Donna's error:
That seemed sufficient to get the facts out, but apparently it was Too Much Information for Donna. You guessed it: our comment was deleted. So it becomes necessary for us to correct the record here. Of course, you don't have to take our word for what was said [QuickTime video]: Did Donna merely misinterpret Shep's words: an honest mistake? Or does the censoring of our comment show that it was no mistake, but rather a deliberate effort to "double down": to lie about Fox again, after having done so just two days earlier? You make the call. posted: Thu - December 6, 2007 at 11:12 AM j$p  send | |
