Newshounds' Billy Liar Strikes Again!Corcoran caught again, and he's capitalizing on the deaths of US troops
to smear Fox. With J$P Video!
You'd think that at least on Veterans Day, the Fox haters would show
enough respect to our fighting men not to exploit their deaths to feed their
diseased obsession with Fox News. But such fine points of decency are lost on
the newshounds (another fine product of the Outfoxed syndicate).
It's one thing for them to parade their egregious ignorance as some sort of enlightened analysis. For example, newsmutt Melanie concocted a scathing commentary about Neil Cavuto. Why? Because, she insisted, he was broadcasting from Las Vegas: Ben Bernanke's on Capitol Hill, Neil Cavuto's in Las Vegas Melanie repeated the claim the next day, and, like the dutiful, gullible sheep that they are, the kennel-dwellers fell for it:
The truth? Neil Cavuto was not in Vegas. Not on Thursday, and not on Friday. He was on his Your World set in New York, like every other day. Fox had a reporter, Jonathan Hunt, in Las Vegas. Hunt is the guy with the Brit accent. Cavuto is the one with the big head. Get the difference, Mel? There is a bit of irony here, or perhaps it should be called hypocrisy. It was Mel who, not that long ago, insisted that cancer-survivor and MS patient Cavuto should get his "ass" out of his New York studio. Ah, the compassion and professionalism of the anti-Fox terriers. But we digress. As we said, it's one thing to be sloppy and lazy and expose yourself as an incompetent hack. It's something else entirely to use US troops as pawns in a desperate attempt to smear Fox with lies. And that's the department of the guest-blogging cur, Bill Corcoran. As we have documented over and over, Corcoran makes weekly lists of stories Fox "doesn't cover", and they are invariably phony and wrong. Hardly a surprise when you consider that he compiles the lists without even bothering to watch FNC's coverage! The latest example comes just this morning: Below are a handful of events pertaining to the war in Iraq which FOX News felt were not worthy of coverage or, at best, only a passing mention...The FOX News web site is carrying the story of six U.S. soldiers killed Saturday in Afghanistan, but it remains to be seen if FOX News television will mention their deaths... It took only minutes to go to the tivo and find examples of "Fox News television" covering this story as soon as it broke Saturday morning and throughout the day [QuickTime video]: It's obvious that FNC was on the story all day Saturday. Yet on Sunday Corcoran says it's a story Fox didn't cover and it "remains to be seen" if they even "mention" it. Billy, you're a fraud and a liar.
