Media Matters: Caught in Another Lie!And on national television, no less. With J$P Video!
The Media Matters smear of Bill O'Reilly has been exposed for what it is. So what does Brock's
Brigade do? The answer: lie.
On The Today Show, Media Matters representative Paul Waldman was asked to respond to the criticism that their quotes from O'Reilly were taken out of context. Why no, that can't be possible, claimed Waldman, because Media Matters posted the "full audio" and the "full transcript" [QuickTime video]: How in the wide world of sports can you possibly claim that the transcript you posted was unedited and complete, when the very first words in it are: "Now, how do we get to this point?"
What point? Could that possibly be the point that you left out, the whole setup to the comments? All the stuff that Juan Williams talked about last night? Not only does the Media Matters transcript omit all that, but so does the MM audio clip. It starts at the same point as the transcript, and is less than five minutes long. The "full audio" is nearly 40 minutes! We know why you left out the setup. We know why you deliberately omitted the context. But then going on national television and making the farcical claim that you posted the "full audio" and the "full transcript"? Do you really think the viewership of Today is so gullible that you can lie to their faces and get away with it? Apparently, you do. posted: Wed - September 26, 2007 at 12:12 PM j$p  send | |
