Anatomy of a NewsHound LieThe Outfoxed gals commit journalistic perjury again, yet credulous dupes
still believe them! With J$P Video! Updated!
What follows is an object lesson. How people who cry "liar!" are in fact
the ones telling lies. How the haters will employ every shoddy propaganda
technique at their disposal to smear Fox. And how there are no cretins more
gullible than the ones who swallow the drool that drips from the newshounds
(another fine product from the Outfoxed mob). Our case in point: newspooch Melanie, who wants to create a picture. The only question is where she will find the paint to color it her way. The headline kicks things off with the obligatory charge of lying: The Same Day Jessica Lynch Testifies About the Government's Lies, Fox "News" Repeats Them The frame the newspoodles have chosen for this tract is that Fox is trying to hide the truth about Jessica Lynch. You see, they showed clips from the testimony about Pat Tillman, but none of Lynch, and all Jane Skinner said was: The panel also has been hearing from former Army Pvt. Jessica Lynch. She said she's trying to set the record straight about her dramatic rescue from Iraq. Now to increase the paranoia among the credulous, the biased bassets explain the secret agenda behind this spiking of a major news story. You see, the Lynch situation hasn't been well publicized (!), and "Fox would like to keep it that way, thank you very much". Why? One of strongest points Lynch made today was that the "dramatic rescue" itself was one of the government's lies, yet a Fox "News anchor" promoted and repeated it. Apparently Fox thinks George is in enough trouble as it is. Note: Lynch went out of her way to praise the heroism of those who rescued her. She did say the stories of her capture were lies. But what of Melanie's claim that Fox is trying to keep this story under wraps? They don't show clips of the testimony. They don't report what she said. It's clear: they're covering for George Bush! And if you doubt that, just ask the kennel-dwellers, who ate all of this up like a fresh bowl of Alpo:
Well, they're convinced, anyhow. But given the track record of the anti-Fox terriers, we were not. Why the focus on Jane Skinner's 2:00 pm hour? The answer to that question exposes the claim that Fox was hiding this story as another hound lie. All it took was a quick check of how the story had been reported in all the other hours surrounding the 2:00 pm hour. Say, the hours of 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm, and 3:00 pm [QuickTime video]: |
