Debate and Switch: Part Deux

The Fox haters and their echo-chamber stooges can't bully the Black Caucus. But they can lie to them.

The Fox haters are inhaling the intoxicitating fumes of victory. The Democrats have pulled out of a debate, and the haters, having dipped their fingers in venom, feel the urge to vilify again. The Congressional Black Caucus twice successfully co-sponsored Democratic debates with FNC during the 2004 election cycle, and is considering a similar project now. The haters demand fresh blood.

So the same crowd behind the newshounds (documented serial liars) have launched a new campaign. They are telling the CBC that Fox is racist. And they've created a video to prove it.

"Fox Attacks: Black America" is a cornucopia of distortion and downright dishonesty. Multiple clips from Hannity & Colmes show Sean, but not Alan Colmes. Supposedly incendiary comments by black conservatives are highlighted, but statements from people like Michael Brown, who were on the show at the same time and gave the opposing view, are edited out. And in a classic bit of Jim Gilliam propaganda, the tail end of an interview (as Hannity is telling a guest "we're out of time") is trumpeted as Fox "silencing" someone because they don't agree with him. Never mind all of the discussion that came before that. And especially don't say a word about Alan Colmes, who conducted half the interview! Why do you suppose that didn't make it into their little smear video?

But the most outrageous libel is also the definitive embodiment of how corrupt and venal the Fox haters have become. To exemplify Fox attacking "black America", a series of quick cuts are included from John Gibson. And we do mean quick cuts: even using a sentence fragment. Here is what the video presents as Gibson attacking black America:
Half of the kids in this country under five years old are minorities. White people are having fewer. Put it bluntly: we need more babies.

That sure sounds like an attack on black America, but the attack was completely created in the editing room. Here's the first sentence in its full context:

GIBSON: First, a story Wednesday that half the kids under 5 years old in this country are minorities. By far, the greatest number are Hispanic.

What's this? This Fox attack on black America wasn't about black America at all? But wait, there's more context to be had:

GIBSON: Hispanics are having more kids and others, notably the ones Hispanics call gabachos--white people--are having fewer. Now in this country, European ancestry people--white people--are having kids at a rate that sustains the population, even grows it a bit.
That compares to Europe where the birthrate is in the negative zone. They're not having enough babies to sustain the population. Consequently, they are inviting in more and more immigrants every year to take care of things, and those immigrants are having way more babies that the native population.

Still looking for Gibson's racist attack on black people? So are we. It must be there somewhere. Maybe we'll find it here:

GIBSON: Vladimir Putin is so concerned about the declining--no imploding--population of Russia he is paying couples to have babies.... This is not a good trend for Russia, and it won't be here either if it should happen.
To put it bluntly: We need more babies. Forget that zero population growth stuff of my poor, misled generation. Why is this important? Because civilizations need populations to survive.
So far we're doing our part here in America, but Hispanics can't carry the whole load. The rest of you: Get busy. Make babies.
Or put another way, a slogan for our times: Procreation not recreation.

The Fox haters used lies to bully Nevada Democrats. Now Gilliam's coven of political hacks are employing fraudulent editing tricks and propaganda tactics to slander FNC--even to creating a phony, nonexistent John Gibson "attack" on black America where clearly none ever existed!

They want you to contact the Congressional Black Caucus to repeat their lies. We suggest you tell them the truth.
