Never Say Never AgainThe Outfoxed gals are caught lying about Fox News yet again. If only
they had listened to Bond. James Bond. With J$P Video!
The hostilities in the Middle East have the Foxhaters beside themselves.
On the one hand they busily cite blue blogs and impartial sources like the
Lebanon Daily Star for the "truth" the American news media are afraid to reveal.
And on the other hand...smear Fox News! When it comes to the latter, no pack of
animals is more rabid than the newshounds (another fine product of the Outfoxed
mob). The newspoodles are the masters of the headline that lies. Here's a classic HeadLie from ellen: FOX News Describes Peace Protestors As “Pro-Hezbollah” According to her (not the most reliable source but we'll take it arguendo): Sean Hannity opened the Hannity & Colmes (7/20/06) discussion by saying, “Sympathizers of Hezbollah not only are found within Iran and Syria but also right here in the United States. Recently, Pro-Hezbollah demonstrations took to the streets of San Francisco." You may wonder how Hannity's comment ends up as "Fox News describes". Especially when just a few sentences later, she quotes Alan Colmes as saying: "...they’re not pro-Hezbollah. They’re anti-war." So why doesn't the headline read "Fox News Describes Peace Protestors as 'Not Pro-Hezbollah'"? Alan Colmes is just as Fox News as Sean Hannity. In fact, more (on Fox 20 hours a week to Hannity's five). Don't try to make sense of it. It's hound logic. Brit Hume Praises Radical/Fundamentalist Muslim Extremists A marvelously dishonest HeadLie from little Janie. Here is what Mr Hume said, in its entirety: A leading Wahhabi cleric in Saudi Arabia has issued a scathing fatwa against Hezbollah — the latest in a series of condemnations from the usually supportive Arab world. Sheik Abdullah bin Jabreen declares it against Muslim Sharia law to support, join, or even pray for the terror group, writing, "Our advice to the Sunnis is to denounce them and shun those who join them to show their hostility to Islam and to the Muslims." The New York Sun reports that the fatwa also condemns Iran for funding and supporting Hezbollah to further what Jabreen called its imperial ambitions. You may ask, just exactly how is that different from any other news story an anchor reads? You may wonder, where is the part where Brit Hume "praises" anyone? Don't waste time looking for it. It isn't there. Little Janie made it up! But our Lie of the Week goes to that long-time newsmutt fabulist, Judy. Like the Swami who tells your fortune for $5 at a carnival sideshow, Judy knows all, Judy sees all: Fox News is conveniently ignoring the deepening morass in Iraq. What news has Fox ignored that other news organizations have reported? We love it when the newsliars yelp about what Fox didn't do. Because they are invariably wrong. Didn't they learn from Sean Connery: never say "never"? Since the curs write whatever they feel like, with no research or fact-checking, their ultimate embarrassment is the surest thing since the invention of the two-headed nickel. OK, let's see some of the stories that Judy claims Fox never reported: The U.S is sending more troops to Iraq. So much for the withdrawals of two battalions by September announced just a few weeks ago. She cites an AP report: With violence rising, the United States is moving to bolster American troop strength in the Baghdad area, putting on hold plans to draw down on the 127,000-member U.S. military mission in Iraq. Then Judy gives us more news Fox refused to report: al-Maliki said. 'We will speak with the United Nations and American government to call for a cease-fire quickly.' And there's more that Fox "ignored": Members of the Iraqi Parliament are calling on the prime minister to cancel his trip to Washington as a protest.... Why isn't Fox News reporting it? So let's jot down all the things Fox Didn't Report (FDR), in a convenient checklist:
Now we compare Judy's jottings, posted at 7:29 pm, with the truth [QuickTime video from 1:56 pm]: |
