Dishonest to the Last Drop

Updated! To perpetuate a myth, it is important to feed it regularly, much like one waters a plant. The sustinence must be consistent and unceasing to keep the credulous convinced of its certitude. This is the role of the Fox haters, eagerly assumed by the newshounds (another fine product of the Outfoxed syndicate).

We have written many times about the "invisible man" technique, wherein people who appear on Fox are made to disappear because their presence has the unfortunate effect of disproving the propaganda line against FNC. The whippets have of late embraced this fraudulent tactic with renewed vigor.

We were reminded of this when the biased bassets complained about an episode of Fox & Friends. Oh sure, Hillary Clinton appeared but that was dismissed: "they brought on Hillary because she was happy about her win". Still it was nothing but "a slew of Republican guests [i.e. two --J$] brought on to put down Obama" and despite Sen Clinton's lengthy interview "there was a serious lack of Democrats on the show". Of course, there was an invisible man: Obama supporter Tim Roehmer (D) was interviewed live, but deceptive Donna erased his appearance completely, as if he were never there. It was necessary to propel the propaganda.

This goes on constantly. The selective coverage, and erasure, of guests on Fox is one of the premier hound tricks to smear the channel. Day after day, drip by drip, the lie is nourished:

Item: Fox & Friends "bashes" Jeremiah Wright; newspoodles rail about Roy Innes. Also on the program was Marc Lamont Hill, but that fact is not reported.

Item: On Hannity & Colmes it was all about Ann Coulter. Why did Rev Joseph Lowery even bother to show up, since he was rendered invisible by the bowsers?

Item: Fox & Friends "had all these Republicans on to talk about Wright.... This is fair and balanced?... Fox needs to do somehting [sic] to make itself fair and balanced and get out of the Democratic bashing business." What about the two segments with Bob Beckel? An inconvenient truth that had to be purged from the kennel's perverted reality.

Item: Chrish notes that "ten, maybe fifteen minutes after" interviewing Hillary Clinton, Bill O'Reilly "outsourced the slams" by using Dennis Miller to attack Democrats. Why the 15-minute gap? What aired that was deliberately skipped over? You guessed it! O'Reilly interviewed Tanya Acker and Nancy Skinner, both Democrats and Obama supporters. Their participation had to be dispensed with: it does not advance the myth.

Item: Cavuto's program had Karl Rove on, and therefore was just "right wing talking points and tabloid". Of course the rundown of guests conveniently omitted Democratic Congresswoman Caroline Maloney. She was rendered invisible to facilitate the Big Lie.

And so it goes: repeat as needed. We may have enough server space to document it all. And that's not even counting programs the pooches ignore completely. Greta van Susteren airs immediately after Hannity & Colmes. In recent days she has repeatedly interviewed supporters of Rev Wright and Sen Obama (such as Rev Myron Cloyd), but the hounds can't permit that to be known, so they quietly say nothing and hope that no one will notice.

With each drip, drop, drip of dishonesty the newshounds do their part to perpetuate the smears. But repeating a lie doesn't make it true. It does however expose the corruption and chicanery of those for whom hate takes precedence over honor.

Update! No sooner did this post hit cyberspace than the newshounds delivered again! Chrish whines that Laura Ingraham was actually permitted to disagree with Hillary Clinton on last night's Factor: "Where's the fair and balanced?... Clinton is criticized, not debated, for her answers and policy positions. We knew this would happen... all she did was confer legitimacy on FOX and O'Reilly and feed the beast." (Because two segments of Hillary Clinton are somehow rendered unfair and unbalanced by one segment with Laura.) But what's missing from this hyperbolic hound harangue? Well, how about the fact that O'Reilly also interviewed Hillary supporter Lanny Davis? Not a mention; not one word! We don't have to accuse the newshounds of duplicity. They prove it on their own day after day.
