Last year, 2007, there were 11 boats in the Georgetown fleet—since then five of them had to retire due to financial struggles.  Some lay rotting on the shore across the river while shrimp abound in the nearby waters.  Nowadays, it is not uncommon for Bobby to forego his share of shrimp revenues to be able to pay the crew and maintain the boat.
