  • Two hatches lead to the engine room. This one is located amidships.
  • Bobby is standing next to the engine at the hatch amidships while I take the picture at the bow hatch.
  • I changed my location to get a view of the engine room from the perspective of the engine.
  • In the off-season Bobby has to work as a carpenter at out-of-state locations in order to meet expenses so engines tend to develop problems over the long winter of neglect. Here he jumps up and down on a wrench to try to free it up.
  • One can see the frustration and exhaustion on the captains face as he stops to ponder the frozen engine situation.
  • Success!, the batteries work and the engine turns over and comes to life.
